It all begins with business alignment
It’s hard to justify expense and effort when the approvers can’t easily see the benefit. By improving business alignment, security programs can be much more effective. A business’s security team will be adequately resourced. It will have a seat at the table when IT or risk is part of any business decision or strategy and will be brought in early to review new projects, vendor relationships, or system designs.
