David has over 25 years experience in senior identity management positions in Europe and the US. He led two prominent pioneering EC-funded identity/security projects while working for IBM, firstly with Lotus in the Notes/Domino product management team and later with Tivoli’s security division. He is the founder and president of IDPro, the professional organization for digital identity management. Jackson Shaw

Katie Curtin-Mestre

Katie Curtin-Mestre is a seasoned B2B marketing executive with experience in cyber security and infrastructure software. She currently is a VP of Marketing at CyberArk where she is responsible for product marketing, sales enablement, and market research. Armin Ebrahimi

Head of Distributed Identity, Ping Identity

Armin Ebrahimi heads Distributed Identity at Ping Identity. His company, ShoCard was acquired by Ping where he was the founder and CEO. ShoCard is a digital identity verification system that protects consumer privacy through patented use of mobile devices and the blockchain. ShoCard was acquired by Ping in March 2020. An industry veteran, he brings more than 30 years of experience in scalable platforms, online services, mobile-development and digital advertising.

Before founding ShoCard, Armin was the CEO of BuySight that was sold to AOL in 2012 where he served as Senior Vice President of engineering. Prior to filling this role, he was Senior Vice President of Platform Engineering at Yahoo, with responsibility for Yahoo’s registration and anti-fraud platform services. He also built Yahoo’s original Display Advertising platform that served more than 20 billion transactions a day. Armin founded and was CEO of TRIicon Solutions, acquired by Tandem Computers. Armin holds a doctorate in organization management from Capella University, as well as Master and Bachelor of Science degrees in Computer Science from California State University – Chico

 

Michael Engle

Michael is a proven information technology executive, leader, and entrepreneur. He is an expert in information security, business development, and product design/development. He has experience running large teams and multi-million-dollar projects for a Fortune-100 bank as well as working with startups that need to set direction and go from “zero to one” as it is now commonly called.  

As head of InfoSec at Lehman Brothers, he was instrumental in designing and implementing the bank’s security program.  As a co-founder of Bastille Networks, he helped raise over $40m in VC to create a powerhouse in the RF security sector.  Most recently he helped launch 1Kosmos.com, a next-generation Identity company that is changing the way people interact with digital systems, and 1414ventures.com, a seed-round venture capital fund that focuses solely on digital identity.

Rohan Pinto

A self-professed “cryptography geek,” Rohan Pinto has been the go-to security and identity management maven for three decades, founding several businesses utilizing advancements in blockchain and identity management and continues to show the world the incredible potential of well-implemented cryptographic systems.

As a senior IAM Architect, Rohan specializes in architecting, implementing and deploying large-scale Identity Management, Authentication and Authorization infrastructures with specific emphasis in Security.  

Rohan was lead architect on a team that developed security infrastructure for the Government of Ontario, the Health Information Access Layer (HIAL) for the Province of British Columbia, and the United States Department of Defense’s Security Access Layer using Common Access Cards (CAC).

Gal Helemski

Niraj Gopal

Aubrey Turner

James Monaghan

He wrote software to deliver multimedia content to mobile phones just as the first devices with colour screens were coming out, created the specialised tools that the world’s largest brands would need to engage their customers with interactive messaging, and built enhanced authentication products to protect online accounts just as the tide of high-profile data breaches brought online security to public attention. He has been on both sides of successful acquisitions and lived on both sides of the Atlantic. At Evernym, James’ team is working on the products which will create greater trust, security, and privacy for individuals and organizations everywhere. He holds a MEng from Cambridge University, certifications in agile product management and privacy technology, and a 2:49 marathon time.

Allan Foster

VP Community, and OpenAM Engineering, ForgeRock

ForgeRock’s Allan Foster serves as VP Community, and OpenAM Engineering. Allan has helped build ForgeRock into a multinational identity software vendor with offices on four continents. Allan’s deep technical knowledge has been leveraged across all aspects of the business while at ForgeRock, with responsibilities in Support, Engineering, Product Management, Federal, Emerging Technology, Sales and the Partner Community. 

Allan also serves on several boards. He is currently President of the Board at the Kantara Initiative. He is also a director on the board of the DIACC. In the past has also served on the board at.IEEE-ISTO, Portland Macintosh User Group, where he was president, and East County Business Alliance. A founding member of ForgeRock, Allan brings unique skills across the entire Identity management space. Andrew Hughes

Andrew Hughes CISM CISSP is a digital identity strategist and international standards expert. He works with international associations and standards bodies as a domain expert, developing standards and related conformity assessment materials. Andrew serves on the Board of Directors of Kantara Initiative, and as the Chair of the Kantara Leadership Council. As a national expert delegate for Standards Canada on digital identity, he contributes to development of international standards at ISO SC 27 for identity management and ISO SC 17 for mobile driving licenses and eID. Andrew is currently investigating how the worlds of Government Issued Photo ID can co-exist with the emerging Verifiable Credentials models, in a mobile-first manner. 

Kim Cameron

Chief Identity Officer, Convergence.Tech

Kim Cameron is a Canadian computer scientist who was Microsoft‘s Chief Architect of Access and has worked since the emergence of the Internet to create a humanistic system of Digital Identity. He is the originator of the 7 Laws of Identity, and developed the InfoCard architecture.

Cameron joined Microsoft in 1999 as part of Microsoft’s ZoomIt Corp. acquisition a software company dedicated to digital identity that he co-founded in 1980. According to his Microsoft biography, “as VP of Technology at ZoomIt, (Cameron) invented metadirectory technology and built the first shipping product.” The ZoomIt product became Microsoft Identity Integration Server.

In 2000 he became the Architect of Microsoft’s Active Directory, which evolved into the most widely deployed identity technology used in enterprises globally. As the growth of the Internet made the importance of identity increasingly evident, his role expanded to become Chief Architect of Identity for Microsoft. In 2004 he wrote the Laws of Identity, a document that has long influenced both technologists and regulators, and which Microsoft adopted to guide its innovation. At the same time he began to champion innovations that would put users in control of their own identity as a way to solve the privacy and security problems of both individuals and organizations – work he continues to advance today.

Cameron retired from Microsoft in 2019 and is now the Chief Identity Officer at Convergence.Tech, a Canadian digital transformation company. Operating globally, Convergence.Tech provides identity and credentialing solutions to governments, humanitarian agencies, across the education sector, and in support of professional associations.

J. Wolfgang Goerlich

Advisory CISO for Cisco Secure

J. Wolfgang Goerlich is an Advisory CISO for Cisco Secure. Prior to this role, he led IT and IT security in the healthcare and financial services verticals. Wolfgang has held VP positions at several consulting firms, leading advisory and assessment practices. He is an active part of the security community, co-founding and organizing security conferences. Wolfgang regularly advises on and presents on the topics of security architecture and design, identity and access management, data governance, secure development life cycles, zero-trust security, and more.

Mike Kiser

Mike Kiser has held a panoply of industry positions over the past 20 years—from Security Strategist to Security Analyst to Security Architect. He has designed, directed, and advised on large-scale security deployments for a global clientele. He is currently in a long-term relationship with fine haberdashery, is a chronic chronoptimist, and delights in needlessly convoluted verbiage. Bernard Harguindeguy

Bernard joined Ping by way of the Elastic Beam acquisition, where he was the founder and CEO. Elastic Beam built the first hybrid cloud solution that used advanced AI techniques to deliver deep visibility into API activity and stop cyberattacks. Most recently he was Chairman, President and CEO at Atlantis Computing (award-winning storage optimization software) and the CEO of Green Border which was acquired by Google. Bernard was also the Chairman of Booshaka acquired by Sprinkler, Chairman of Norskale acquired by Citrix, Chairman of BorderWare acquired by WatchGuard, Board Member at Sygate Technologies acquired by Symantec. Mark Wahl

Principal Program Manager for identity and Access Management Products and Services, Microsoft

Mark Wahl has 30 years experience in designing and deploying enterprise directory, security, and identity management systems. He was the co-author and editor of the LDAPv3 specifications, designed the directory servers used at major organizations worldwide, and led two startups in the enterprise security market. He has also taught information assurance and computer security auditing at the University of Texas at Austin, and spoken at industry conferences in the U.S., Europe and Asia on the future of enterprise identity. He is currently a principal program manager for Microsoft identity and access management products and services.

Brian Chappell

Don Thibeau

Don is formerly President and Chairman of the Open Identity Exchange (OIX) a non-profit organization of leaders from competing sectors, including enterprise, data services, telecommunications, consulting services, SaaS, banking, retail and government. OIX is helping to build solutions to roadblocks for online transactions and serving as a test bed for business, legal and governance policies in the emerging identity ecosystem. Don is also the Executive Director of the OpenID Foundation, where he directs a standards development process for Internet identity. Amanda Minnich

Senior Applied Machine Learning Researcher, Microsoft

Dr. Amanda J. Minnich is a Senior Applied Machine Learning Researcher at Microsoft on the Azure Trustworthy Machine Learning Team, where she uses adversarial machine learning algorithms to attack Microsoft’s ML systems. Prior to Microsoft, Dr. Minnich’s work at Twitter included developing graph clustering algorithms to detect spam and abuse campaigns. Dr. Minnich also previously worked at Sandia National Laboratories and Mandiant, where she applied ML research techniques to malware/goodware classification and malware family identification. Dr. Minnich also has experience in the pharmaceuticals domain; after defending her PhD in Computer Science with Distinction in 2017, she joined Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, where she led the Molecular Data-Driven Modeling Team in applying machine learning methods to the drug discovery process. She is also heavily involved with tech outreach efforts, especially for women in tech.

David Inglehart

IT Solutions Architect, San Diego Gas and Electric (SDGE)

David has worked for Sempra, SoCalGas, & SDGE for 28 years on various areas of IT, including Desktop Support, Server/Infrastructure Support, and Active Directory. For the last 8 years he has focused on IAM as architect and provided technical direction for Sempra’s IAM programs. He’s currently focused on moving Sempra’s IAM solution from on-prem to the cloud. David graduated from Cal Poly Pomona in 1993 with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems.
